Office of the National Security Council is one of the public authorities participating in the implementation of the National Human Rights Promotion and Protection Program 2008-2011, which was adopted by the Croatian government in 2007.

This Office was jointly responsible for one of the measures established by the National Program in the field of “Security and human rights”, however, in 2011 there have been no circumstances which would call for the implementation of the measure.

The report on the above mentioned issue was sent to the Government Office for Human Rights, as the authority competent for coordination of the implementation of the National Program.
