it is our pleasure to welcome you on our website, where we will try to provide you with a comprehensive insight into the scope of work of the Office of the National Security Council (UVNS) and therefore contribute to better informing the interested Croatian citizens on UVNS as the body of the security and intelligence system of the Republic of Croatia.
 
The Office of the National Security Council performs expert and administrative tasks for the National Security Council and the Council for the Coordination of Security and Intelligence Services as well as the tasks which enable the President of the Republic and the President of the Government to have oversight of the work of security and intelligence agencies and bodies of the security and intelligence system.
 
UVNS, based on the security and intelligence agencies’ information, creates joint and periodical reports as well as strategic assessments for the President of the Republic and the President of the Government.
 
UVNS is also the Croatian National Security Authority, which coordinates, harmonizes the adoption and controls the implementation of information security measures and standards in the Republic of Croatia.
 
At the same time UVNS will try to contribute to the national security tasks that are accomplished for the sake of freedom, prosperity and security of all our citizens, which is a pledge of secure future of the Republic of Croatia.
